Similarity of Triangles

Similarity of Triangles:

Two triangles are said to be similar, if

(i) their corresponding angles are equal; and

(ii) their corresponding sides are in the same ratio.

That is,           large angle A=angle P

                       large angle B=angle Q

                       large angle C=angle R

and                 large frac{AB}{PQ}=frac{BC}{QR}=frac{CA}{RP}

Notation:   We write large Delta ABCsim Delta PQR to denote similarity of two triangles ABC and PQR.
